I will overwhelm 'serious fighter' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer will face Jake Paul in an eight round contest which will be broadcast live on the streaming platform.

British boxer Joshua said he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "defeat" his opponent as the combatants confronted each other to publicize next month's boxing match.

Ex twice world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a huge mismatch - at Miami Kaseya Center on December 19th.

Boxer's Attitude

"I plan to damage his features and break his body up. My goal is to show I'm superior," the British boxer, 35, said.

"I will dominate him completely. That's how fighters think.

"I intend to genuinely try to injure him. That's what I want to do."

Civil Exchange

In spite of these statements, a composed Joshua and social media star Paul - usually recognized for his showmanship - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.

Paul instead criticized former Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and called him "not serious" after the Cameroonian turned down a match opportunity.

Taking Aim at Fury

Joshua, in the meantime, criticized British opponent Tyson Fury - and rejected a large bet 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a victory for Paul.

"Jake Paul outshines Tyson Fury - he showed up," the boxer stated.

"I acknowledge that."

Legitimate Fighter

In spite of declaring he will damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his opponent's pugilistic talent.

"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he remarked.

Jake Paul's History

Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has mainly boxed mixed martial artists or declining opponents since entering professional boxing.

He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in last year.

Commercial Attraction

However, the novice continues to be one of the sport's greatest money-making draws, frequently receiving massive paydays.

Forecast and Belief

The 28-year-old anticipated a knockout win in the fourth or fifth round and stated he would stop the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly in the works for 2026.

"The next fight will be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul declared.

Physical Difference

As Joshua and Paul met for the traditional confrontation, with their height and weight contrast on show, it drove home just how unlikely this complete situation is - and how astonishing it is that the bout is truly going ahead.
